History
Berlin is the capital and largest city of Germany. The city has a rich history that dates back to the 13th century. It has played a significant role in the history of Europe, and has been the center of many important historical events.
In the early 19th century, Berlin became the capital of the Kingdom of Prussia and later of the German Empire. During this time, the city experienced rapid growth and became a major cultural and economic center.
